Coming from Iran, Hamed Hosseini is currently in the first year of his PhD. His research topic focuses on Computational modeling of Atrial Fibrillation. Hamed initially took the Master 2 \u2018Cardiac Ep\u2019 course at Liryc and wanted to continue his PhD as part of the Institute\u2019s Modeling team. Interview.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n I studied biomedical engineering and biomechanics as part of my bachelor\u2019s and first master\u2019s degrees. After that, I started my career as a specialist in cardiac electrophysiology. As I progressed in this field, I realized how much I enjoyed doing research in the hope of finding the answers to many unsolved questions. So I decided to continue my studies to expand my knowledge and learn alongside researchers.<\/p>\n I\u2019d known about Liryc for almost 5 years, thanks to the many research projects carried out at the institute. When I heard that Liryc was running a Master 2 course in cardiac electrophysiology, I applied.
\n<\/p>\n Although I knew a little about the various arrhythmias and their treatment, I realized during the Master\u2019s degree in cardiac electrophysiology that I could deepen my knowledge in this scientific field to gain an even better understanding of cardiac rhythm disorders. That\u2019s why I decided to pursue my studies with a PhD. <\/p>\n Computer modeling is an increasingly important tool in research. Learning to use computer models can help any researcher to plan and simulate many diseases of the cardiovascular system. I chose to carry out my Master\u2019s internship in this field, within the Liryc\u2019s Institut Modeling Department, and my current research project is a continuation of this. <\/p>\n The \u201cCardiac EP\u201d Master\u2019s course includes several modules, such as pathophysiology and imaging, which have given me a broader understanding of the field and therefore a more comprehensive approach to solving the various problems in my research work.
